Nest for bats
If you are lucky to have bats in your garden, then you will not be bothered by mosquitoes! Bats eat large amounts of mosquitoes. A single bat can eat up to 5000 mosquitoes in one night. They often have their nests in hollow trees. If there is a lack of natural nest sites, they will gladly move into the nest box.
Placement of the bat nest
The bat nest should be placed three to four meters above the ground and should have a clear view and passage from the opening in the bottom of the nest. So, there must not be any branches just outside and it should ideally be placed facing south, but not in the blazing sun.
